THE DYNAMO DIGEST – SUMMER 2025
Message from Ric Huffman
First, I’d like to personally welcome the many new players and families who came to tryouts this
month. Thank you for choosing our community; we are excited to have you! We are thrilled to
have 615 players committed to Dynamo FC this year. That equates to 52 teams! This is a reflection of the strength of the club and our community – thank you to each of you for all that you do.
Congrats to all teams on wrapping up a fantastic Dynamo spring season. We saw lots of success across the club as we hosted the Dynamo MVP Tournament in May and had teams competing in the President’s Cup and State Cup Tournaments at Grand Park.
Spring also brought further progress on our proposed partnership with Butler for Dynamo’s long-term use and improvement of the athletic fields and facilities. We enjoyed hosting our first ever CNC (Central North Conference) games at the Butler intramural fields in May. It was special and energizing to bring Indy’s soccer community together on our turf, so to speak. As you know, our fields are one of my top priorities. We remain hopeful and positive about the direction and will continue to update families as discussions continue and details become firm.
Please enjoy some rest and relaxation this summer, and we can’t wait to welcome you back to the pitch in August!
Ric Huffman is in his 8th year as Executive Director of Dynamo. Previously he spent close to ten years with the Butler women’s soccer team as an assistant coach.
Uniforms
We are kicking off a new 2-year uniform cycle, so all players will need to order new uniforms. Order as soon as you can, if you haven’t already. Fittings are available at Soccer Village in Carmel.

Success at Indiana State Cups!
Spring brings the opportunity for some teams to compete in state-wide tournaments of varying levels. We had two teams advance out of the preliminary tournament weekend:
The 2011BR advanced to the semi-finals of President’s Cup but came up short in penalty kicks.
The 2013GR won 3-0 in the finals of President’s Cup at U12, which means they are State Champions! Congratulations girls.
Save the Date: Dynamo Dash 2025
Get ready to run! We are excited to announce that the second annual Dynamo Dash will take place on Sunday, November 16, 2025. The event will begin and end at Guggman Haus Brewing Co. on Gent Ave. We’ll share more information when registration is available. Hope to see you on the course!
Funds raised at the Dynamo Dash will be used to support the ongoing operations of non-profit Dynamo FC, including: (1) providing competitive wages to recruit and retain high-quality coaches and directors, (2) provide players with continuous opportunities to grow as people and as players, and (3) to fund Dynamo’s scholarship program which covers expenses for players in need of financial support.
